This project was a translation of a space to a publication. I chose to translate The Bun Shop, a small café I loved to frequent while living in Baltimore.
What I was most interested in communicating to the reader of the publication was a similar experience to what happens to me when I spend time at The Bun Shop. When I would go there, be it for studying or hanging out with friends, I would feel that this dimmly lit space was part of another world where time moves a lot more slowly. I decided the book would be a collection of typographic meditations on feelings of timelessness, caffeine, and seclusion.
I consulted a teacher and close friend for the content which ended up being song lyrics, essays and poems that revolved aroung these three themes.
